Fantastic name, especially if your dog has long brown fur.<\/p>\n 3) Doc Howliday<\/strong>: Dog Holliday would also work. Not the best but pretty good.<\/p>\n 4) Dog Marley<\/strong>: You could sing \u201cGet Up, Stand Up\u201d for when he is in your way on the floor, \u201cLively Up Yourself\u201d for when he is being lazy, and \u201cOne Love\u201d for whenever you know he is the best.<\/p>\n 5) Meatball<\/strong>: The perfect name for an English Bulldog.<\/p>\n 6) Noodles<\/strong>: I don\u2019t know why I like it but I do \u2013 it\u2019s a cute name.<\/p>\n 7) Salvadore Dogi<\/strong>: For the dog with an artistic side.<\/p>\n 8) Saruman<\/strong>: Saruman \u201cthe wise\u201d from the Lord of the Rings. This would be a good name for a dog who maybe isn\u2019t so wise.<\/p>\n 9. Seymour Butts<\/strong>: Another one I like but can\u2019t explain why.<\/p>\n 10. Sherlock Bones<\/strong>: This is a good name for dogs that bury bones in the yard.<\/p>\n 11. Sir Barksalot<\/strong>: The name is self-explanatory.<\/p>\n 12. Stinky Monkey<\/strong>: Not a flattering name but if the name fits…<\/p>\n 13. Voldemort<\/strong>: A good name for people who love Harry Potter and have a \u201cdifficult\u201d dog.<\/p>\n 14. Wigglebutts<\/strong>: I think Mr. Wigglebutts is better, or Captain Wigglebutts if you own a boat.<\/p>\n 15. Yeti Spaghetti<\/strong>: Dual names that rhyme always sounds good, and this name would be good for dogs with white fur or who eat spaghetti.<\/p>\n 16) Yosemite Sam<\/strong>: I like this name because I’m a fan of Looney Tunes.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n These are good but not as good as the names above:<\/p>\n 17) Agnes Gooch<\/strong>: I don\u2019t know what it means but I like it anyway.<\/p>\n 18) Al Coholic<\/strong>: Don\u2019t give your dog alcohol, ever, and consider calling him Al for short.<\/p>\n 19) Al Poochino<\/strong>: Another dog name with nice wordplay.<\/p>\n 20) Buttercup Smoochie<\/strong>: It sounds cute but you have to be a woman to name your dog that.<\/p>\n 21) Casino Jack<\/strong>: It sounds cool but this name almost didn\u2019t make my top 32 list.<\/p>\n 22) Droolius Caesar<\/strong>: Not my favorite dog name but pretty funny, especially if you have a dog that slobbers a lot.<\/p>\n 23) Hank the Tank<\/strong>: This name works great for a very large dog, or even better for a very small dog with spunk.<\/p>\n 24) Happy Butterscotch<\/strong>: Another dog name that only a woman could get away with.<\/p>\n 25) Jellybean<\/strong>: Who doesn\u2019t love jellybeans?<\/p>\n 26) Lizard<\/strong>: A great dog name if your dog has a huge tongue.<\/p>\n 27) Okey Dokey<\/strong>: I like the rhyme plus I use this phrase myself.<\/p>\n 28) Uranus<\/strong>: The father of Saturn. Make sure you pronounce this ancient Greek god name correctly \u2013 \u201cYOUR-a-nus\u201d not \u201cyour-ANUS\u201d. By the way, the actual name is Ouranos. This is a good name for an “odd” dog.<\/p>\n 29) Winnie The Poodle<\/strong>: Well, this would be a bad name if your dog isn\u2019t at least part poodle.<\/p>\n 30) Yankee Doodle Danny<\/strong>: A good dog name wordplay if you are from the US.<\/p>\n 31) Tater<\/strong>: Another dog name that is unique and cute kind of like a tater-tot.<\/p>\n 32) Daffy Duck<\/strong>: A lovable character from the Looney Tunes cartoon series.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The first 12 names are okay but I would never suggest them to a friend with a new dog. Following those are 12 dog names that are bad and 12 that make me scratch my head.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n These names are just okay but weak as well.<\/p>\n 1) Brewster Chewybear<\/strong>: Too many syllables to this dog name. I\u2019d suggest using just Brewster\u201d, \u201cBrew\u201d, or \u201cChewy\u201d.<\/p>\n 2) Dunkin Butterbeans<\/strong>: Try \u201cButters\u201d for short.<\/p>\n 3) Killer<\/strong>: This would be a great name for a small shy dog.<\/p>\n 4) One Hit Wagger<\/strong>: Ah, it\u2019s okay<\/p>\n 5) Piddler<\/strong>: You need to walk your dog more if he is peeing in the house a lot \u2013 or make a vet appointment.<\/p>\n 6) Richard III<\/strong>: All hail the king!<\/p>\n 7) Tango Mango<\/strong>: I like rhyming names and Tango is good for a single name.<\/p>\n 8) Timber<\/strong>: This is another dog name that almost didn\u2019t make the list, but it made the cut by a nose. Definitely a good name if your dog often chews on sticks or knocks over lamps.<\/p>\n 9) Tumble Bumble<\/strong>: Another rhyme and would be great for a little dog with a lot of fur, kind of like a tumbleweed.<\/p>\n 10) Ugly Butts<\/strong>: Now that\u2019s not nice.<\/p>\n 11) Voodoo Magic<\/strong>: I like this name because of the Jimi Hendrix song \u201cVoodoo Child\u201d.<\/p>\n 12) Webster Doodledoodle<\/strong>: A little odd, but the rhyme got me \u2013 try just \u201cBrewster\u201d or lose the 2nd “doodle” and replace with “doo” for “Doodledoo”.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n C\u2019mon man, don\u2019t use these names for your beloved dog.<\/p>\n 13) Astro Boy<\/strong>: Why? Why would you use this name for your dog?<\/p>\n 14) Bacon Bitz<\/strong>: Don\u2019t name your dog after a commercial food product. The advertisers have you Neo.<\/p>\n 15) Bobo Monster<\/strong>: I have nothing to say here.<\/p>\n 16) HotRod Whoofington<\/strong>: Just \u201cWoofington\u201d would be fine, but what\u2019s with \u201cHot Rod\u201d?<\/p>\n 17) Nacho Dog<\/strong>: Do you really like Nachos or did your newly adopted dog eat your nachos? So no one in your life taught you how to use your imagination?<\/p>\n 18) Otterpop<\/strong>: Do you like nature shows, especially with otters?
